Football Manager 2011 Training Schedules
Many of you asked me to share the training schedules I use in Football Manager 2011.  Here they are. I created them for Deportivo story. The main ideas behind this pack of trainings are heavy workload and differentiation by positions. So if you are going to use it don’t forget checking happiness status of your players. Just decrease workload moving a player to one of general schedules if he becomes unhappy with his training.
My FM11 training schedules are formed for the positions and roles:
Schedule name Who should be trained
GK Goalkeepers
WBL-WBR Left and right defenders, wing backs
DC Central defenders
DMC Defensive central midfielders
MC Central midfielders
ML/MR Left and right midfielders
MC (Playmaker) Attacking midfielders
AML/AMR Wingers
FC (Poacher) Forwards with Poacher role
FC (Other) Forwards with other roles
Additionally there are 4 training schedules for youth team:
- GK (Youth)
- D (Youth)
- M (Youth)
- F (Youth)

Football Manager 2010 Training Schedule

If you are seeking Football Manager 2012 trainings, then I advise you to take a look at these my FM 2012 schedules.

__________________

In one of the previous posts I uncovered my current Leeds coaches and their attributes. Today it’s time of doing an act asked by many of you – sharing my FM 2010 training schedules!
I use approach of performing different and mostly heavy-styled sets of trainings by player position:
Football Manager 2010 Trainings
FM 2010 Trainings
So it’s easy to understand that GK means training for goalkeepers, DRL – training for fullbacks and so on. FC(Quick) and FC(Towering) differ perceptibly because the first one is used for quick forwards, the second one – for strong big strikers who prefer scoring goals by means of head.
DC – Medium, MC – Medium, FC – Medium – 3 training sets of average loading that should be used for players who complain about trainings considering them too hard.
Actually I don’t think that I have best trainings – but they’ll give good results if you have some pretty coaches.

Download My Football Manager 2010 Trainings

By the way, the trainings include 3 sets for defenders, midfielder and forwards of youth team as well.

Steps to install Football Manager 2010 trainings:
1. Download ZIP file using one of the abovementioned links.
2. Unpack the ZIP file.
3. Copy unpacked TSH files anywhere. I prefer to use “user data/schedules” folder for that.
4. Then follow this path in Football Manager 2010:  <first tab named by your club> –> Trainings –> Schedule button –> Manage Schedules…
5. Use Import button to insert the trainings to your game one by one.
Hope you will find my FM 2010 trainings helpful! Happy

My Staff in Football Manager 2010

Some of you asked me about the staff I signed for Leeds United in Football Manager 2010. So this is what you expected to know:

image

As you see I didn’t cut down expenses paying totally $1.1M for those staff members who were transferred from other clubs.

From the other hand it’s pretty hard to retain good coaches because some Premier League clubs offer contracts with high wages to them sometimes.  Fulham and Wolves tempted 2 scouts as well as Arsenal did the same with one of my important coaches Sad I tried to offer better contracts to them but no success…

Quality of Leeds coaches in Football Manager 2010

Training categories and stars in FM 2010

It seems to me that it’s a pretty good result for Championship. I have five 4-star ratings in training categories and this fact should really help in training and development of Leeds players.

By the way, If you have any 4.5 star coaches on your mind who could probably agree to sign contract with Championship club then tell me, please. It would be very helpful!

Coaches of Hull in Football Manager 2009

Dear readers, you asked me about coaches of my club. So this post is a kind of answer.

Coaches and their attributes

It’s very difficult to find and sign a 6-star coach. And I’m silent about 7-star coaches…

Expectations and transfers of the upcoming season

After the glorious finish (the 3rd position in PL) of the previous season I decided to escape loud claims about the Premier League title. The point is in that I’m thinking my Hull being able to compete with Manchester United and Arsenal. But I’m not sure that it’s really true Wink. Therefore I selected the same expectations that were promised before the last season:

Expectations and $87M for season #6

Luckily Hull board gave superb amount of money - $87M – and made me to think about new star players.

Media prediction and bets

Hull's media prediction of 7th position

But at first I want to show you that my squad is still not so strong as Tottenham and Chelsea have. And I’m silent about Arsenal and Man Utd in this squad comparison.

English Premier Division title odds from Sky Bet

Sold players

Sold players before season #6, FM 2009

Most of sold players were either too unhappy with their appearances in the first squad or didn’t bear competition merely. Unhappy players were Quentin Othon, Damien Plessis, Roger Johnson, Bartocz Salamon.

Promising central midfielder Luca Santonocito was sold because of mad competition for 2 positions of central midfielders. Our oldbie Abdou Rasack Traore was totally displaced from substitution bench even and his contract has finished.

Forward of Spain U21 team – Eduardo Garcia Alvarez – didn’t impress me much during the previous season. So I decided to replace him with another young talent – Akeem Ugbah. You will see him below.

The most funny thing is that Leicester managed to buy 3 players from Hull! Maybe they feel that our team has good selection policy Open-mouthed.

Newcomers

Ok, here they go:

Hull newcomers in season #6

Almost $100M  were paid for 3 star players: Diego, Manuel Brand and Axel Witsel.

Diego

Diego - from Werder to Hull

Attacking central midfielder who will increase competition for MC positions to really mad level. I have over 8 players that can play on this position!

Ok, but lets return to Diego. I’m sure everybody knows his name. He is the real leader of Werder in my game. In the real life he had been the real leader of Werder until he was signed by Juventus. You see his attribute values and seems like there is no need to say anything more.

Manuel Brand

Manue Brand - regen from Austria

Regen player and former wonderkid central defender. I was reporting about his personality in January of this year actually.  His skills haven’t change since that time. But anyway Brand is very strong DC who will become the first team player indeed. And, of course, I hope my coaches will  increase his values of attributes somehow.

Alex Witsel

Alex Witsel - former wonderkid

Witsel is a versatile attacking midfielder (AMLRC) of Belgium. His person is very known among experienced Football Manager players. Alex Witsel was mentioned in my Football Manager 2009 wonderkids list as the most talented young MR.

Akeem Ugbah

Akeem Ugbah - new promising Hull striker

Young prospective striker that will play from substitution bench. Looking into his attribute values I can say he has the only problem – low Passing. But surely I have high hopes about this Englishman.

Christian Giani

Talented Giani as new DMC of Hull

Damien Plessis was sold. And there are only Pashaev, Ramirez and Jagielka who can perform of position of defensive central midfielder. But Jagielka is our main DR, Ramirez is leading MC and Pashaev appears as central defender usually. So I made decision to sign another promising youngster for this position. By the way, Giani has all prospects of becoming first squad player.

Mad squad competition

Yes, I have to many players in the first team. Especially, on MC, AML, AMR positions. And the problem is that I like them all and don’t want to sell anyone at the moment Embarrassed. Therefore I decided to make some kind of experiment with trainings. I set Very Hard level of trainings for all positions apart from goalkeepers. This approach has pros and cons:

+ Players will be trained better due to higher growth of attribute values

- There will be more injuries during trainings

+ Better rotation. If some player is injured, another player will replace him in the first squad.

So we will se how this experiment ends up.

FM09 “Coaches and Stars” formula in 9.3.0 patch

Some of you asked me about new calculation formula of stars for coaches. Here are some arithmetical rules below.

At first lets predefine what ddm will mean:  ddm = determination + discipline + motivating

Strength and Aerobic

Calculated as:

Fitness * 9 + ddm * 2

Values –> Stars Star:

>= 270 -> 7

>= 240 -> 6

>= 210 -> 5

Goalkeepers

Calculates as:

Goalkeepers * 2 + ddm

Values –> Stars Star:

>=90 -> 7

>=80 -> 6

>=70 -> 5

Tactics

Calculates as:

Tactics * 2 + ddm

Values –> Stars Star:

>=90 -> 7

>=80 -> 6

>=70 -> 5

Ball control

Calculates as:

Technics * 6 + Mentality * 3 + ddm * 2

Values –> Stars Star:

>=270 -> 7

>=240 -> 6

>=210 -> 5

Defence Coaching

Calculates as:

Defence Coaching * 8 + (Tactics + ddm) * 3

Values –> Stars Star:

>=360 -> 7

>=320 -> 6

>=280 -> 5

Attack Coaching

Calculates as:

Attack Coaching * 6 + Tactics * 3 + ddm * 2

Values –> Stars Star:

>=270 -> 7

>=240 -> 6

>=210 -> 5

Shooting

Calculates as:

Technics * 6 + Attack Coaching * 3 + ddm * 2

Values –> Stars Star:

>=270 -> 7

>=240 -> 6

>=210 -> 5

Set Pieces

Calculates as:

(Attack Coaching + Mentality + Technics) * 3 + ddm * 2

Values –> Stars Star:

>=270 -> 7

>=240 -> 6

>=210 -> 5

Youngsters and their development in Football Manager 2008. Part 3 - Midfielders

This post is written by Vincent Van Hak. He asked me to share his investigation about development of young talents and wonderkids with all of you, my dear readers.

Next up: Midfielders

Gonzalo Higuain
Not likely to move from R. Madrid to any other club, if you do want to get him you will have to get with an offer noone can decline!
Not likely to move from R. Madrid to any other club, if you do want to get him you

Jeremy Menez
Very good youngster, if you want to get him get him in the first season, after that he gets a lot of other offers from other clubs that want to sign him.
Very good youngster, if you want to get him get him in the first season

Sunny
Probably one of the better youngstars in the midfield zone! If your playing with an somewhat more defensive midfield Sunny is a musthave, be ready to pay a lot of money from him though!
Probably one of the better youngstars in the midfield zone

Giovanie Dos Santos
Another well known youngstar, Barcelona owns him and he is not willing to move at any price or does not get the approval to move, atleast in my safegame, if you can, get him.
Another well known youngstar, Barcelona owns him and he is not willing to move at any price

Georgino Wijnaldum
Takes a few seasons for him to get to an stage where you can actually use him, so if your not planning on playing more then 3 or 4 season every safe game, it has no use getting him, after, he just rocks!

Gakpé
Another Monace star, in my opinion, not as good as Menez, but very worthwhile signing!

Youngsters and their development in Football Manager 2008. Part 2 - Strikers.

This post is written by Vincent Van Hak. He asked me to share his investigation about development of young talents and wonderkids with all of you, my dear readers.

Next up: Strikers

Another important position in the field, a scorer also known as striker. Without any you will probably not get much goals and with you should be guaranteed with goals, or not, if he misses form! I Found about 10 strikers ranging from 16 in the first season to 20 in the first season, starting with the two best know ones and then randomly giving the rest.

James Vaughan
Everton Striker and already very good at the age of 19, if you can get him off Everton in the first season that would rock!
James Vaughan, Everton Striker and already very good at the age of 19, if you can get him off

Bojan
Probably the best striker of his age and one of the most talented players in the game, already playing at barcelona will probably make it hard to contract him, since he doesn't want to trade Barcelona for just any club.
Bojan, Probably the best striker of his age and one of the most talented players

Gaël Kakuta
Being only 16 in the first season it might be a bit to early to contract him right away, probably best to let him develop a season or two and then try to contract him.
Gaël Kakuta, Being only 16 in the first season it might be a bit to early to contract him right away

Genero Zeefuik
One of Hollands most talented forwards, important to sign him either the first or second season since he won't stop growing for a while and a lot of other teams are trying to contract him.
Genero Zeefuik,One of Hollands most talented forwards

Andy Carrol
The most surprising striker I came a cross, being contracted by preston it shoudn't be very hard to get this youngster, can't call him youngstar yet since he hasn't improved a lot yet. Again, very good for any sub-topper!
Andy Carrol, The most surprising striker I came a cross

Borja Viguera
Oldest in the list, judge yourself!
Borja Viguera,Oldest in the list, judge yourself!

Sergio Aguëro
Again a very well know striker, who will not be easy to get in the first season, or any season. Great addition to any team!
Sergio Aguëro, Again a very well know striker, who will not be easy to get in the first season, or any season. Great addition to any team!

Rhys Murphy
Another 16 year old player. Has the potential to be good, seing how he grown over three season I don't think Rhys will be a great star, an icon for some in the real world. But again, good for a sub-topper.
Rhys Murphy, Another 16 year old player. Has the potential to be good, seing how he grown over three season

Jozy Altidore
American forward who can be contracted for about 1 million pounds in the first season, can make an good addition to some teams, since I actually bought this player myself in an save game I know from experience its very very easy to make money him, so even if you dont want him to play for you, he is an easy money maker!
Jozy Altidore, American forward who can be contracted for about 1 million pounds in the first season

Henri Saivet
Last but not least for sure! Being practually worthless at the start of the game, he grows very fast and very much! Personal favourate and a must have for anyone!
