Ode to Gylfi Sigurdsson

Hello! Welcome back to True Football Manager blog :-)

Normally I have a favourite player in every new Football Manager game. I tried to recall the favourites of all stories I had been posting here since 2007 and filled the table for you:

My Story

Favourite Player

Q.P.R. Carlos Fierro

Boston United Robson (regen)

Leeds United Marco Verratti

Hull Diego Buonanotte

Southampton Dmytro Chygrynskyi

As you have surely understood from the post title, my clear favourite in Football Manager 2013 is Gylfi Sigurdsson. Even having Carlos Fierro in the squad as well.

Race with Manchester United

Hi guys,

Season 9 in Nottm Forest story overcame its equator. My team is in leading role in all tournaments it has been participating. The most intriguing one is title race with the Red Devils. They perform very well and do want to return PL title to Manchester.

Premier League table

It’s obvious to me neither Man City nor Arsenal will be able to compete with my club and Man Utd. The Red Devils have large goal difference caused by brilliant work in defense first of all. Their 9 conceded goals in 21 matches look astonishing! Meanwhile Nottm Forest plays more Brazil style: you score how many you can, we score how many we want.

It just works

Hi guys,

Another Nottm Forest story update today! I managed to play a pack of matches after the unsure season start. My conclusions regarding overuse of rotation and your tips helped and worked as a magic. I decreased rotation trying to use only the best starting line up and it just worked out. As a result almost all games were confidently won including tough matches versus Man. City and Tottenham.

Nottm Forest story is definitely my best of all FM history! I am Ukrainian Brian Clough ;)

Nottingham Forest: Where are they now?

Hello dear blog readers,

One of you asked me to blog about today’s topic. So I’d like to recall the best Forest players of my first 3 years in Nottingham Forest. Where are they now? What do they do? In particular, I am interested in the initial squad I had at the start.

Yes, it’s going to be a little bit sentimental blog post :)

Dear blog readers,

Finally I managed to return to blogging after five days of absence. Today I want to share news about the start of my last season in Nottm Forest story. Season 9. It won’t be an easy walk and can end without trophies at all. But my hope is to win in both Champions League and Premier League…

Hello dear blog readers,

Today’s article is dedicated to the latest squad changes in Nottingham Forest and also Euro 2020 results. Yes, it’s summer 2020! My transfers before season 9 turned into many sales and 6 buyings, somewhat weird buyings I have to confess…

Season 8 completed! What should I do next?

Hi everybody,

My long report about the season 8 finish today! As you can recall from my previous story blog post, Forest was at semi final stages in Champions League and FA Cup, and also in 4 points from the closest pursuer in the Premier League table standing having 6 fixtures to play. The outcome is interesting and should be entertaining for you.

Moreover, I am ready to make review of achieved and non-achieved story targets and decide with your help how I should act in the next season…

Promutico scores, Forest wins

Hello my dear readers,

Another step to season 8 trophies made by Nottingham Forest. It really seems it should become the most glorious season in my history ever.

Lots of goals scored during the latest 30 days of Nottingham Forest story. First of all, I’d like to single out Alessandro Promutico who seized on Fierro’s injury and turned into a real goal machine.

Danny Batth in FM 2013

Hello my dear readers,

As you understand today I would like to discuss with you Danny Batth in Football Manager 2013. Danny is not a world class centre back, but he is one of continental level guys who improved Forest defensive line quite much. I would say Batth is pretty similar to Jamaal Lascelles, perhaps a little bit better and reliable as DC.

Let’s take a look how he has been performing in Nottingham Forest story:

Great home win over Man City!

Hi guys!

Hope you enjoy reading my blog. Today’s post is quite short but it’s only because I couldn’t withstand to write it after so great victory in Premier League. Manchester City with their Premier League squad #1 by strength was easily beaten at the City Ground!

If it were not away defeats in Premier League…

Hello dear readers,

Time for another Forest story update. Suddenly I managed to get ill in summer. Nothing serious, not a long-term injury but just got cold ;) Anyway every thing in life has its pros and cons. And the main advantage for me is that I stayed at home and dedicated pretty much time for managing Nottingham Forest. It’s the middle of December in my story now, season 8. I am pretty happy with exception of three away losses to weaker clubs in PL. Let’s get deeper into the results…
