Three matches made me mad and sad

High guys,

Today I am very angry and disappointed because title ambitions I had at the season start are at very serious threat. Look at that hell of three draws in a row:

Total misfortune

Everything was very good in the middle of December. My Forest was in 4 points from leading Manchester United and it was really OK for me. But then those damned three draws happened… It’s kind of curse for me. In all the games Nottm Forest had a perceptible advantage but attackers failed to score more than once per match. It’s very frustrating to see Forest strikers failing numerous clear cut chances. Oh.. it seems like a lack of maturity…

Match stats are self-descriptive:

By the way, the match versus Brighton was failed more because of my decision to use all substitution players…

So now I can just sigh looking onto table standing…

Champions League. Good group round ending

Here’re the stats of the last group round game.

vs RM1

As you see Real Madrid was defeated quite confidently. Perhaps score is not so impressive as the stats but my boys managed to tear out win having Carlos Villa sent off.

Interesting but home match against The Royal Club wasn’t deciding anything significant at that moment. We had an advantage over Lyon by on results between our teams and were feeling safe.

English best club goes to Europa League

Manchester United with his 5 PL titles in 6 seasons left Champions League shamefully. The Red Devils should qualify in the last fixture but brave Celtic team earned their first victory scoring three unresponsive goals and immersing Man Utd fans into shock!

All matches in this group:

First knockout round draw

Decent draw for me. OM took the first place having quite much of struggle for it with Arsenal and Sevilla. It seems easier opponent than PSG, Bayern, Juventus, and Barcelona. So I’m optimistic about the knockout first round.

Forest players

Now some words about those who have been disappointing me in the season. Rodrigo’s adaptation period is being delayed. But I don’t like to criticise the new player much, it’s obvious I should give him time. More serious concern is about Carlos Fierro who has been performing weirdly unstable. Sometimes the Mexican scores goals very confidently and sometimes fails to score tremendously easy balls.

Too many mistakes this season by captain Jamaal Lascelles. He should concentrate in the second and become more reliable defender.

Young John McLeish seems to be the weakest forward in the team. I didn’t manage to see his ability to score goals in a match practice he had. With high level of competition between strikers, McLeish has no chance.

Who is the best? Hewitt again.

Yes, giant English centre back was absolutely the best Forest player during the reported interval. He got also Golden Ball nomination! I’m not sure if he has any chance but nomination is already great achievement for 22-year old footballer.

Fixtures to play soon

It seems I should concentrate on winning Champions League this season. PL title is already too tough. Probably Manchester United will win it once again… Or I am too in rush to give up?

By the way, 4 home matches starting vs Swansea and ending vs Man Utd look nice and promising.

Excited to blog for you,
