Out of cups but at the top

Another day for the Boston United story’s report.

Results

The half of the season has been played already. I can boast of the first position in the league. Though I feel I need larger points distance from the 2nd team. Don’t want to participate in nervous playoffs.

Boston United at the top in FM11

I think the advantage of my club is obvious in the Blue Square North League. Just try to compare the number of scored and conceded goals by Boston and other teams.

Here are my latest matches:

Latest matches by Boston United in FM11

The most of them ended with clean sheets for my goalkeeper. The best, most impressive one is 5:0 victory against Hyde. I suggest you to view its highlights. There are many pretty goals as for me:

Now about 2 worst matches… Rotherham won FA Cup game in more or less equal struggle (here is the screenshot). Grimsby (they are at the 5th position in the Blue Square Premier League) knocked us out of FA Trophy in the very first round…Печальная рожица  And it’s when I dreamt of winning this tournament:

Poor performance at the final stage, FM11

It’s happened due to poor performance at the final stage by Boston attackers as you see from the screenshot above. Totally unlucky match! Печальная рожица

Boston squad. Any ideas?

Look at the positive side of the loss to Grimsby I can say that my squad seems ready to compete for promotion in the next season in BSP. Though I am not sure. This is the reason why I think of strengthening and getting better players for several positions. First of all I need more squad depth in these 3 positions:

- DL

- AMR

- FC

If you have any ideas of good players, just propose them to me! Улыбка

Meanwhile I released on free 2 guys from substitution bench whose level had been below the average in contrast to their wages - $325 for each.

Interesting that the last one is the first in the list of players sorted by average rating. But you saw his attributes’ values. He just managed to make 3 assists in one of five played matches getting very high 9 mark. Therefore Yates is at the top here:

Player stats in the league confirm that Boston United squad should become the best in this season:

Laslandes - the best goal scorer, FM11

7 Boston United players in average rating stats, FM 11

P.S. My congrats to all Arsenal fans. At last The Gunners won the match with Chelsea! It was the confident and important victory.

  1. Chris Says:

Maybe Callum Driver (DL) is still on free transfer, I got him to my club for free. Gifton Noel-Williams may be good if you need a headstrong forward. I also got a speedy forward in Danny Uchechi.

  2. adrian Says:

    AMR - MIHAI COSTEA
    DL - ANTUNES
    FC - JUNIOR MORAES

  3. MRDNRA Says:

FC - Walter Bakouma and Benedict Akwuegbu, both very good strikers even for Blue Square Premier, although neither is quite as good as Laslandes, and they're both also in their 30s, still should be good for one of two seasons at least at this level.

DL - Richmond Forson, again excellent even for BSP, what's more he's only just turned 30, so again should be good for at least 2 seasons

AMR - Pape Seydou Diop, although his natural position is DR, and for my Mansfield team is now (following massive team rating adjustments due to the fact following a load of signings I had 5 5 star players and 3 4.5 star players) rated 1.5 star in AMR, and 3 star in defense, where before the readjustment in ratings he was 4.5 star in defense (so probably 3 star AMR), so I'd say he would be good at this level despite the fact he is only accomplished in AMR.

  4. Nayroun Says:

I just need to know, did you change your tactic after my advices?

  5. Vitaliy Mokosiy Says:

    Nayroun,
yes, I set Attacking duty to both my Inside forwards.

Though the centre forward is not target man yet.

  6. Vitaliy Mokosiy Says:

    MRDNRA,
thanks a lot! I think I'll sign at least one of these players

  7. desmo Says:

    Hi Vitaliy,

Too bad about the cup results, but being number one with Boston is really good!

  8. Tucker Sears Says:

Your continuing your wonderful start. Promotion should easily be secured now!

  9. Laurence Says:

I have a suggestion for DL, but it is a loan option, Matutu from Brighton, I signed him on-loan with Hereford, helped me gain promotion from League 2 I hope you consider my suggestion

  10. Hartmann Says:

DLC viljornur Davidsen is young about 19 years old.

    AMR/C ST Lukazs Cieslewicz

  11. MRDNRA Says:

You may also want to consider Abiodun for AMR. He would be brilliant, a lot better than Diop, but I was unable to get him due to work permit issues.

  12. Akenia Says:

    DL - Martin Stamp/Warren Peyton
    AMR - Scott Springham
    FC - Guylain, Ndumbu-Nsungu

  13. Peter Says:

FC - Phil Younghusband or Jack Sampson

    AMR - Alex Flemming

    DL - Hassan Bacchus

  14. Darko Says:

    ST Gifton Noel-Williams

Great signing, scored 40 goals in 43 games, played him as Target man.

  15. Rezco Souza Says:

    Some suggestion from me:
for DL Giorgio Regonesi, he will be out of contract at the 2nd if you want him for free or just buy it from Albinoleffe, for a cheap deal. About 31 year old but very reliable, got nice set pieces skill too

for AMR maybe you can sign Alexander Merkel, unfortunately he probably hard to sign in first season because he is in Milan. You have to train him first as AMR though

for FC, Enzo Scorza is the best available for lower league. Or Irfan Bachdim if you like to gamble a bit :D. If youre looking for target man then Sander Post maybe a good choice

I use them all in my Pro Vercelli, currently started my 2nd season, just promoted from Serie C2/A to C1/A

  16. Vitaliy Mokosiy Says:

    Guys,
many thanks for all your suggestions!

  17. Thomas Says:

for a forward try to get cristian tiboni! he would be great for you.. not sure if he would come though as i had to convince him with a large wage to come to a blue square premier club.. but give it a go! good luck :)

  18. antonio pedro Says:

try arrange a parent club, in the premier league or lower.... it should be good to have loaned player, i do that when playing at lower leagues.. good luck , and year ehehe

  19. George Harvey Bone Says:
