Many of us are ready to start playing Football Manager 2011 or have already started. Normally if you choose a club that is not rich you experience problems with transfers during the first transfer window. Just because of lack of funds. This post may help you and me (because I am about to start my Deportivo story at the moment) to find good free players in Football Manager 2011.
Below you will find free players list I created using the review version of Football Manager 2011 which I got as Gold Affiliate of Sports Interactive. Please pay attention to the features of this list:

- List is grouped into categories by position (GK, DL, DC, MC, etc.)IMPORTANT: The list is opened for changes. You can add any free player from Football Manager 2011 to this list informing me about him in the post comments. I will really appreciate your help!
- Every player has my personal rating ranging from 1 to 3 stars
- What we see after rating stars: player name, his native country and age.

Good list. The only one I've come across thats not there is Enzo Maresca, Italy, 30 (MC) and Michael Rensing, Germany, 26 (GK) and Jeremie Aliadiere, France, 27 (ST).
Also Danny Shittu has moved to Millwall on the patch so is no longer a free agent.
Viktor, if you'll add these players to shortlist and upload it here, that would be great and useful :)

a really good goalkeeper that can be signed for free and i have with my portsmouth team is ex bristol city goalie adrian basso (brazilian), can anyone recommend a good left winger for under a million?
It´s curious, you are managing a spanish club and me, a spanish guy, I´m managing an english one (Crewe Alexandra). I have a similar blog than this, vivefootballmanager, but I´m sure it will be interesting to follow your story.
hi does it matter what game speed is because i have chosen same leagues as you my computer performance is 5 starts but game speed is 2. what was your game speed and will it make it slow.

"game speed" is a parameter that explains how long you wait between clicking on 'Continue' button or pushing Enter key. It's just a matter of patience :)

mauricio perreira, fernando, toro, duarte -> all contracts expire in january 2011. in fact there a couple more uruguayans who are capped at youth level, and whose contracts expire
work permit is a problem though.
one very very good player for lower leagues is tomas horava - about 200K pounds.
another very good player is jason puncheon of southampton ..

I'm playing with Leeds and have signed Klemen Lavric for free. He's really good and scoring very well so far 29 goals in 34 app. I would rate him 3 or 3,5 stars.

You should add László Bodnár - Defender/Wing Back (Right)
Add Anderson (DC, 30 years old). Played for Lyon 2007-2010.
Frode Johnsen (36, MC/AMC/STC) has quite good attributes. Dunno about his ability, but I think he should be decent player for England's Premier Division.
I think his attributes are reminding about Michael Ballack.

He should be a "leading star" for weaker leagues.
Also, another Norwegian free agent, Espen Johnsen (30, GK) has good goalkeeping attributes. Another potential "leading star" for lower leagues.

these are all good but who would u recommend for teams like forest green and gloucester city.

I'm in my first season with Nottingham Forest and my strikers can't finish one-on-ones. I get 5 or 6 clear cut chances a game and I still lose. I need a forward who is fairly cheap and can finish. Any suggestions?

I see no Alexandre N'Gadi on that list, take a look at him, 19 year old on free transfer at the start of the game, can play right wing or attackiing midfield, I bet you give him three stars!
You should have a look at Stern John, he is more of a backup player but is good at scoring. Also if you are a Championship side try and get Brentford striker Nicky Forster as I got him and in 5 games he scored 10 goals for me (He costs 50k).
Get Luke Daley as he is quick and scores goals, worth every penny. Also Lloyd Owusu, he is playing in Australia but can be purchased on a free transfer. Also get Shane Sutherland and Adam Rooney from Inverness, can be purchased on a free transfer. Rooney scores lots of goals and I am the manager of Cardiff and Barcelona wanted him for lots of money.

I have solved the problem.
It was due to FM suggested to have the "England" and "Scotland" only. I got the guy by choosing "France" :D
Btw, one more question.....which countries should I choose in order to have reasonable players with reasonable game speed? Million thanks!!

Njogu Demba-Nyrén, 31-year old Gambian striker. He has some good stats, I think he would do well as a trequartista or in secondary role as a deep lying forward.

Antonin Kinsky, 35-year old Czech goalkeeper. According to my scout, he should be good player for Bundesliga.
problem with Marko Livaja is that if you sign him right away he will not be able to play for you until he is 17 because he has an international ban for 1 year. It is good to sign him so at least he trains with the team i guess
