Season #4. 22 fixtures played

Another Leeds story post today.

Matches and table

Leeds matches in season 4, FM 2010

My team had different kind of games during difficult December month. They vary from excellent 4:1 victory against West Ham to poor 1:2 home loss to Reading. But I would say this hard period of fixtures was completed in rather confident way. Though, of course, Leeds should win matches against Huddersfield and Reading.

The best match of December

West Ham - Leeds 1:4, FM 2010

Marvellous counter-attacking performance from our side! Two goals scored from corners by Hangeland! It was the stunning come back.

Premier League table

Premier League table, FM 2010

As far as you see Leeds started to loose chances on Champions League position. I am not disappointed – participation in Euro League would be enough for my club. But anyway half of season is ahead and anything may happen.

Players

Traditionally I have a screenshot of all my main squad players for you:

Hangeland and Verratti are the best, FM 2010

Poor Buonanotte, Football Manager 2010

Brede Hangeland (whom I set a Leeds captain before the season) continues to prove his leadership in the team. Marco Verratti is simply fantastic with nonstandard actions on a pitch. His attribute values don’t stop their growth and may be we will even see many 20 values in 2-3 years!

What’s interesting Jadson isn’t giving up to Verratti having almost the same average rating – 7.30. I use them both more in rotation by the way.

Good news! Andy Carroll started to score more often than other forwards. May be he will prove that he is worth those $14M paid for his person Happy Other forwards are in troubles with amount of goals, especially I’m not  happy with Dawid Janczyk and Taison.

Marco Verratti got 2 Young Player of the Month awards in the first half of the season:

Minds before winter transfer window

Perhaps the most attentive of you have just noticed that there are no two players in the screenshot above: Mark Beevers (DC) and Hugo Viano (MLC). I have just sold both. Mark Beevers was the poorest central defender in the team in spite of his good attribute values. Probably hidden attributes influence quite much. Hugo Viano was a reserve player in this season. After Jadson signing he lost almost all chances to appear in the main squad. I will uncover transfer money I got from these transfers in one of the next posts. It will be a post about winter transfers.

What are my next transfer plans?

I decided to sell Dawid Janczyk – this deal should bring me a perceptible portion of money.

Then I will try to buy 4 players on the following positions:

- DC (English nationality is preferred)

- MC (English one)

- ML (it’s not position of Buonanotte unfortunately + Matty Taylor started to consider his options in the club)

- FC (English one is preferred)
