HullSquad revolution before the Championship season
The 2nd season is about to start. Championship season!
In spite of being one of the tournament favourites (together with Southampton – that’s interesting!) I chose the lowest season expectations of ‘Top half finish’. Why? Just because of my risky transfer policy and uncertainty in current tactics.
Moreover, I decided that $5.5M is quite good amount of money to perform some good transfers if I sell unneeded Leeds players.
Sold players
This time I sold many players… It’s another squad revolution in my Football Manager history. I do not tend to do such things usually during transfer windows. Normally I just sell and buy several players, not so many. But sometimes squad refresh seems a quite smart course for me. And after all I can only hope that new players will tune efficient team work quite soon.
The most old and dedicated readers of this blog should remember my “squad revolutions” in FM 2009 and FM 2008:

But lets get back to player sales:
I planned to sell the following players and that was done:
- Richard Naylor
- Luchiano Becchio
- Davide Somma
- Leigh Bromby
- Gareth Williams
- Lubomir Michalik
Additionally Everton wanted to buy Yarmolenko very much whose price was about $2M at that moment. So I suggested them to pay $7.75M, they agreed and it became my main transfer success in this month! Fine piece of business! 
Totally Leeds got additional $18M from all these transfers.
Rejected to become a new Leeds player
The most interesting happened when I tried to buy new guys for the club. At first here are many names that either rejected to become a new Leeds player or their clubs accept money bids of others clubs. First of all, Beckham:
Mathias Jorgensen – failed to get enough money for his person.
Kyriakos Papadopoulos – loan rejected.
Rafael Carioca – loan rejected.
Michael Johnson – loan rejected.
Marco Veratti – club accepted $1.7M but player doesn’t want to play in Leeds (sooooo pity! 
).
Jonathan Cristaldo – transfer deal agreed but failed work permit.
Jerzy Dudek – he chose Fulham as free transfer player.
Andranik – didn’t manage to get a work permit.
Dusan Basta – transfer deal agreed but work permit failed.
Completed buyings
Here are new Leeds United players:
Mark Beevers and Giuliano were bought by means of long-termed monthly payments partially. By the way, I want you to pay attention that three players in these list are present among other Wonderkids and young talents: Areola, Beevers and Giuliano.
This time I decided to avoid analyzing my purchases. There are so many of them! It would be a too long post if I start inserting attributes screen shots and describe them. However I would like to hear your opinion, dear readers, of these transfers:

These are not all but most valuable for me.
David Prieto he was main Leeds DC in Championship(45apps 7gls 1 ast 7.28avr, gols from headers after corners). In second season I changed my tactics 4-2(MC)-3(AMC)-1 for 4-4-2 because i had more ST that were good, and need more focus on defence.

Wow you've signed a Polish player - Dawid Janczyk! Could you tell me about his performance in the first season? :)
And you almost signed Jerzy Dudek :). Maybe you should look at other Polish players in England e.g. Rasiak, Kuszczak, Fabiański, Szczęsny.
EURO 2012 is coming!
As I am Inter Milan fan, I should mention some pure talents from San Siro. Try Fossatti, Crisetig, Destro, Santon (well, I suppose you can't afford him), Balotelli (same as il Bambino), Caldirola, Tremolada, Alibec, Krhin, Obi, Stevanović.
seyfo soley..... in my opinion has great stats but just doesnt perform! i dont really have an opinion about any other players since after 2 seasons with blyth i am now only at brentford in league 1 with 1.6 mill of debt so im still just trying to pick up free transfers and unknown players who can do a job! what i do find interesting is that you had a wage budget of 135.000 ish in league 1 and my budget is a meare 15.750 and i can still put a team together who can compete.... after 29 games i am in 10th place but only 3 points off the playoff positions. and p.s. i inhereted the 1.6 mill debt as when i took them over they were 19th in league 2 with 2.1 mill of debt and i have only been at brentford for 10 months and managed to get them promoted in only 4 months through the playoffs. finally anyone who is reading this if you start in the confrence like i did the players to have in your team are robert dale, yvan tomatula, scott tynan, bryan gillfilian, kevin tunani, lawrence gaughan. with these players you cant fail to be promoted. and apart from robert dale they are all available as fre transfers. yvan tomatula in season 2 in blue square premier 48 app 23 goals 37 assists av rating 7.86 att mid now that is sexy.
Hey its always best to go for the lowest Season expecxtations because then if you dont get promotion you wont face the Axe...good luck :)
I signed Robi Merino in the first season as Aberdeen. Good player, has been doing well for me all across the attacking midfield positions.
I am gutted for you mate, absolutely gutted for you.

I spread his name around on the last few posts, glad to see you had a look at him (if you hadnt already!)...
I signed him in League 1 as a 16 year old, otherwise it becomes next to impossible later.
Am in the premiership now with leeds. He is still my best player. Just 19. And I signed Micheal Johnson :)

try signing edu bedia. good cm. got him for 350k and he's now worth 5 mil. Young player of the season in his first prem season. Average rating has been 7.2 + for all 3 seasons.
im in League 1 as Accrington Stanley so i cant really say decent transfers as the players are below your level...however im doing well :)

He Was Fairly Good For Me Not Sure If He's Good On FM10 Though Worth A Look If You Ever Need A Left Winger.:)

some good signings here however, if you look at man united they have rooney, carrick, ferdinand, liverpool have gerrard and carragher, and chelsea have terry and lampard. The core players of these teams are english so i think you need more english players that understand the true values of club and the english leagues.

I took same season expectations but managed to get even to 3 places(2to9places was only 4points:D)i think u should hawe takend at least promotion contenders couse u are better then me ;)

Santon and Balotelli are really good buys. I remembered in fm09, I brought the both of them for my Atletico Madrid(Santon for about 2mil and Balotelli for 12mil). Withnin 1 year, they turned into Superb Wonderkids, Santon became my best right back and Balotelli, whom I play as a winger, won the best young player award. However, in fm10, the prices of this two young stars seemed to have gone up by quite a big margin. I tried buying Santon for my Arsenal but Inter demands a whooping 40~50mil for him. The same can be said about Balotelli. I wanna ask, do the rest of you guys here also face this problem when trying to sign these two wonderkids? or isit just me? Btw, I also tried to sign them using Man City, but the same thing happens.

y do u always sign sefyo? u signed him 4 hull and he hardly played! beevers is class, scores tons of headers and yarmolenko is clearly gd business. on my game he plays for newcastle and was top championship scorer!

Looks like you tried to sign to sign beckham. Its a pity he did not sign for you. You made some good signings there but you should look to sell some of them in january as they wont be good for premier league, try adam matthews from cardiff, hes a fine player. Good luck with your new season

I had 2 sudden crashes with Football Manager 2010. But seems like crash problems were fixed in the latest patch. So I installed it and everything is fine now.

Can I just say, NELSON RIVAS, was available on a free transfer in my second season of football manager.
I dont know whether its the same on other games, but the fact is, he will sign for championship clubs. His wages are high, but worth it. As long as you get in there first, he will sign. Otherwise its off to Dinamo Kiev.
He is insanely good.

hi i started of as manager of havant and waterlooville was manager for 2 days and rubin kazan offered me a job so i took over as them and they have some good young player in particular cristian ansaldi hes fantastis can play RB LB RWB and LWB try get him when i started as manager he was valued at 1.9 mil now come the end of my 2nd month in charge at latest he was valued at 4 mil well worth a look and hes playing in russia so you should be able to get him for championship
