HullLeeds United will be my first FM2010 team!
What I can say… It was the most hot voting in my blog. I have been following it till the end… Newcastle or Leeds, Leeds or Newcastle? It was a great competition between voters of these two great English teams! Both clubs are very interesting to me for managing, but finally 1020 of you chose Leeds United. So I must follow your decision!
The third position is taken by Burnley with 10% of votes. Frankly speaking I thought that Burnley is one of the favourites in this poll and it should get more votes… Another surprise for me is in that the last positions were taken by Birmingham City and Wolverhampton with 5% of votes both. Not so many fans of these clubs?

Good luck with Leeds, but would have been more fun if you had chosen a team with" no future" and played it up to premiere league like me i picked Lewes from BSS and i'm going to play it all the way!

Goodluck with Leeds.I voted Burnley as i would of liked to see you try and get them to the glory you did to Hull city. To see Leeds back in their glory days would be a hard task but i think you could do it. Good Luck:)
please post some facepacks for fm2010. i just got mine and noticed that still, not all players have faces. please post skins too, i do not like the new skins at all, i hope the fm 2009 skins featured here before would be alright for 2010, thanks! im a regular reader.

I'm another person who hates Leed's, largely due to having lived for 3 years in Sheffield. That said, good luck with getting them to the premiership. I would think the first season should be successful as they are doing well in real life.
It'll be the following years which will be most interesting.
I will be managing my beloved Queens Park Rangers, and writing a blog about this. Just completed my pre-season friendlies, which was a bit of a mixed bag.

Why don't you try a proper challenge : taking a conference team back into the premiership and show us your real managerial skills or you could be like a proper manager and swap teams that's what im doing starting off with Hinckley and see where I go from there, but I wont be sticking with the same team the whole way

My first team in FM2010 is Panathinaikos. When I get bored I'll manage Bornemouth.
I'm glad to see that the vote went leeds way. I'm currently living in leeds so I look forward to seeing what you can do with the boys. I started unemployed and managed to get Notts Forest. Got them from 22nd to 8th. Just about to start the 1st transfer window (I started wothout the first window to keep it realistic) and can't wait to see where all the moneys goin to be spent.
Shame you chose the scum, easily the best team in L1 based on squad and money available aswell.
i suggest u manage italian serie b team because they transfer money so awful...hard to make a bid for a player...
i can say i'm delighted leeds won the voting!
i've loved them since i was a little boy at the time smith and viduka played there...
would love to see you get them back to former glory!

Aah leeds, i voted for millwall as they seemed to be the biggest challenge of them all but hey, leeds could be surprising :). Iv just started my season with my beloved Peterborough United :) despite their slight lack of good players they are actually pretty good :) also Vitaliy, what do you think of the new ingame achievements? Any ideas how to access them to take a look at them?
Got off to a flyer in my QPR game, winning the first 5 league games of the season. September has not been quite so good, with only the one win, and several injuries. Still 3rd, so happy enough. One surprise for me was seeing Peterborough in 4th, so appears they do have a decent squad.
Jonny I really hope Peterborough manage to pull themselves out of the relegation zone in real life.

It was very easy to cheat on this"test" if you cleaned your history you could vote again i voted 50 times for nott forest.
Good luck with Leeds! :) I managed them as one of my games in FM2009, have included a link as my URL which shows my major ins/out for the first three seasons.... I managed to pick up some quality players such as Keirrison, Steven Flethcer, and Federico Macheda for my first season in the Premier League; all three for just under £10 million! Not something that's going to be possible in FM2010, hopefully you'll be able to pick out some equally talented players though that will help out in your quest to achieve glory.
Leeds United is a team with great potential, and given what a good job you did with Hull in 09, I have no doubt that you'll be able to achieve great things with them.

Good Luck with Leeds. Some good free transfer players are like Ebi Smolarek, Lauren, Sol Campbell, Sebastien Viera, Ian Walker, Michael Ball, Jorge Andrade, Andy van der Meyde, Pele and Iban Zubiaurre.
I tried to sign quite a few of those free transfer players you list to QPR, but they all signed for other teams. Could have started to get paranoid ;)
Just been playing a match, and finally seen something I've never seen before in any version. Opposition keeper went out way out to clear the ball and hit it straight to one of my players near the half-way line and he immediately hit it for the goal and scored. Always before I've seen a poor clearance like that, the player receiving the ball has never tried that. Made me happy as it was the winning goal too :)

I've gone with Newcastle. Won the CC in my first season, now in my second season, have just signed Deco, Dos Santos, Milner, Dawson and Augusto with a transfer budget of 8.75 m AND NO CHEATS!
how did you manage to get them top class players? with such little amount of money with that low of a tranfer budget?

I am managing Sporting C.P., from Portugal in this 2010 edition. It would be interesting to have a blog like this one but I'm not sure if there would be people interesting on reading about this carreer...

Go Leeds!! And I'm sure vitaliy will surprise us just like last time. There are some dang good free players out there, and not just the usual Smolarek/Campbell/Lauren stuff either.
Funny thing tho, board only gave me a million pounds of transfer funds, and I hit the limit and REALLY wanted to spend another 200k to sign someone, so I humbled myself before the board and lo and behold, 3 million pounds magically appeared in the coffers... go figure?

I guess leeds is interesting! Just started a new game with Lazio, but finding it hard to sell anyone. I THOUGHT THEY WERE GONNA MAKE IT EASIER TO SELL PLAYERS! Everyone just wants (Loan to Buy).... I DONT WANT LOAN TO BUY!
good luck man but you should have started with a lower league team. im starting with Blyth Spartans as there ground is like 10 mins from my house. up the spartans wooooooooo!

im accrington and i dont have the finance to buy anyone decent. I've only got a 11k wage budget...
use some scouts...
As Jimmy says, use scouts.
What I do is go to the player search and use filters to cut down the number of players for a particular position I'm interested in. Anyone that looks to have decent stats, I have scouted to see if they really are any good.
When trying to find decnet but cheap players I usually filter with a maximum asking price.
Sadly searching those with no value is much harder work, although I have occassionally found some great players on a free. Found Clement Grenier in FM09 on a free and he turned out to be a wonderkid.

Answer: purchase players buy paying the club over a 48 month period.. then, the amount deducted from your budget is divided by 4. For instance, i bought dos santos for 8.5 m over 48 months, which only subtracted like 2 mill from my budget

I offer a new contract each of them :)
Another method is more obvious - sell one of them if you don't need that player.
i vote for newcastle though. =( . because i want their glory back . but leeds was a good team back in the past too. so, it was a nice decision for you to choose leeds.
I'm currently newcastle and would seriously consider managing them if anyone fancies a challenge, in the beginning, you are so poor you cannot sack or sell, quite a few players arse about against the smaller teams and so you drop points which means the ones who do try lose faith in you. managed to win the championship in the end though but gonna be a mission of a season in the prem.
i'm playing fm 2009 and managing real madrid. can anyone tell me does admiring make a player ( fernando torres) who is not interested to my club become interested? and if that's not the way can anyone give me any tip the right way? torres is very important to me maybe other player can be better in stat but torres is still ranked 2nd in my heart just behind rooney.
