I think facepacks are the most interesting extension of Football Manager. It’s just always pleasant to see player faces in your team or other teams. Therefore I spent several hours in the Web trying to find a really big Football Manager 2010 facepack. And I found one! It contains more than 55000 photos of players and staff. It’s certainly the best of all I’ve seen!

FM 2010 facepack installation steps
- Unpack the ZIP file.
- Copy its unpacked content to folder “graphics” subfolder of your Football Manager “user data” folder (if “graphics” folder is absent - create it!).
- For being able to see faces from installed facepack you must have the following settings in FM 2010 Preferences:
- Use Skin Cache = Off
- Always Reload Skin on Confirm = On

How do u unzip the file because I have downloaded them and put them in graphics folder and turned the right prefernces on but I still don't have them.

the torrent download fing isnt that gud coz its downloads from my limewire then i dont know how to open it..and it take forever to download.

Have patience. When I started to download it a couple of days ago, after a couple of hours it looked like it was going to take weeks. I was somewhat surprised when a few hours later it said it had completed.
If you right click on the Zip file, there should be an option to "Extract All". Select that and you get a wizard come up to guide you. Make sure they extracted to the place that Vitaliy has specified above. It will take a while to extract all the files from this zip file, but it's well worth it.
it also have faces for leeds?
The faces for Leeds are there. So far I can't think of any player I've looked at that isn't there.

Andrew, the directory you need will most likely be, something like this:
"c:\Documents and Settings\My User Name\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\"

great blog vitaliy , can anyone help me with mine ive clicked on the torrent to download and then on the site clicked on download torrent when i have done that it says do you want to open or save this file so i click save and and put it into my pictures then when i save and it says download complete i click on open folder but then it just goes back to the same screen and says do you want to save or open the document im on PC by the way :) please can anyone help i would be incredibly grateful :)

What an awesome piece of work! Thanks, Vitaly, for sharing it.
As far as I can tell, the only point where it may slow things down slightly, is when you go to view the profile of a player. That isn't the quickest thing to do anyway, so in practice I can't really say I've noticed any problems, even though that is a lot of files for a single directory.
I'm writing some data recovery software, so this filesystem will be a good test of a pretty extreme directory.
Hi there, just downloaded the files and they are stored like "CutOut v2.zip.001", "CutOut v2.zip.002", "CutOut v2.zip.003", "CutOut v2.zip.004", there is no option to unzip if I right click. Anyideas what I am doing wrong?

how do i find the user data on windows vista?
If you have a problem with unziping this archives use HJSPLIT first. Click 'Join' and select the *.001 file. Then you'll get zip file and simply unzip it with winrar or something else.

Input file is the file with *.001 and output file will be created automatically :)

direct links on facepack were removed because the hosting company turned off my hosting for resource over-usage. There are too many of you trying to download 2.7GB :)
I will think over other variant like Rapidshare or FileFactory for facepack files hosting.

I downloaded it using the torrent and had no problem. It starts off slow but picks up speed VERY quickly. Just leave it at that, it's fine and quick.

If I meet a problem in that case then try to use Torrent link to download this wonderful facepack

I downloaded the torrent for my PC, took all the files and put them in the graphics folder that I created, checked and unchecked the boxes you said to, but nothing happens. Isn't there supposed to be a .txt file in the download that is the code that the game compiles when reloading the skin??? Anybody figure this out??

you should have a folder called 'data' in there.
create a new folder, 'graphics' in the 'data' folder and you should be ready to go.
i u happen to download the kits and logo files afterwards, then do the same.

i do have a problem though. since i have added everything, the player shirts on the tactics screen have disappeared. i wouldn't mind, however i am used to right clicking on the players, and now am unable.
also, the players all look the same on the 3D screen. it causes the game to lose authenticity. i was hoping there is a way to fix these problems.

hey vitali! ive just began playing football manager, and im ament very good with computers, and im trying to install the facepacks, logos, etc, and im having real difficulty in doing so, any help?
I had the same problem, but you have to put all the downloaded kits etc. in the graphics folder, that lays in the data -> sigfx folder. Then it will work just fine :)

Hello, i'm a brasilian football manger player and i have been following this site for quite a while now, and i would like to congratulate its owner for keeping me up to date with latest fm news and patches.
Thanks man, football manager as everybody here will agree is, perhaps, the best managing game and thanks to this patches ( logos, facepacks, etc ) we can make it even better.
I have one question about patch 10.3 tho, i'm sorry if im posting it here on facepack but i assume everybody checks out every topic anyway.
Anyone has had a weird change on the camera following the game with the new patch?
Makes me a little dizzy it looks like it moves now towards the ball, following its move...weird

Does this facepack work with the 10.3 update? I don't seem to have a 'data' folder to create the graphics folder in.
I have the 10.3 update too, and I have an "editor data" folder but not a "user data" folder. I added the "graphics" folder to that but I still don't get face images when I look at my squad. Help please! Thanks.

Works for my FM10 running in windows 7 ultimate, thx a lot!
Just create a new folder named "graphics" (in Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010) and inside the "graphics" folder create a new "faces" folder and paste the unzipped folder. Finally do the check and un-check steps in the game display and sound preferences.

Hey, So when it comes down to it, I'm a bit retarded with computers. Add that to the fact I just bought a macbook pro and its a recipe for huge confusion. I would like to just say that i got everything working great! love the face pack i also got a couple of other things badges and kits for the game. If your on a mac open sports interactive the football manager 2010. Creat a folder called graphics, and put all the folders u wanna use in there. just drag n drop. I was worried that the megapack folder would confuse things. but so long as u put it in ur graphics folder and adjust the ingame settings it works.

I have 2 directorys (C:>Programs) & (My Documents>sportsinteractive) and am unsure which to put the face pack in. I have put it in both and I Think it is working. I dont have pictures for many Youth players but my assist manager now has a picture so I assume it has worked.
The problem is on the tactics screen, my shirts have gone, and also when there is no picture of a player there is not even the shaded outline as before, just a blank space.
I read earlier about having to move a kits folder to the new graphics folder I created, but am confused as to which exact folders to move and to where?
I am running FM10 on Windows 7.

Vitaliy, I was trying to install facepacks and logos but I managed to erase the default facepacks and logos. I then deleted all the changes I made. Do you know what is wrong? Thanks.
Hey,I installed facepacks,and its great...but now I have problem...New faces are here,but other default faces of other players (for example C.Ronaldo,Sergio Aguero) and other players are missed...Help me ???
Just a quick question...
I downloaded FM via Steam, so as far as I know, I don't have a FM file saved to my computer, rather to the Steam file.
Correct me if I'm wrong (which I hope I am), but if it's not saved to my computer, can I use this facepack?

I figured it out, but now I have no graphics.. no logos, no kits, no faces, not even the silhouettes that used to be the faces :(
