HullHull. First half of season #7
I am trying to do my best to finish my last season in Football Manager 2009. And this is the latest report about it. Actually about the first half of the season.
Matches
Here are Hull matches of season #7 in 2014:
I want you to pay attention to the Community Shield Final against Manchester United. That was really great victory – 4:1!
The next important thing you may notice in the screenshots is poor start of Hull in Premier League. We managed to loose 3 away matches of starting 5… It decreased my chances of winning title perceptibly.
Tournament Tables
You see there is a gap between Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal and my Hull. But I hope to shorten the distance because in the second half of the season I will play only home matches with these rivals.
Meantime I got quite complicated group in the Champions League having Inter, Lyon and Celtic as opponents.
But excellent 3 wins and 3 tough draws (the one with Inter was really tough) provided the first position in this group. Now Bayern Munich waits for Hull in the next round!
Players sold during winter transfer window
All 5 players were sold because they had been unhappy with their second roles in the team. 33-years old Eto’o didn’t impress me at all.

Best players of the season #7 first half are:
1. Darwin Suarez – the man who makes goals in my team either scoring or assisting!
2. Diego Buonanotte – the best assister, Hull leader.
3. Javi Garcia – brilliant debut from former Inter DMC! His long shots are amazing!
4. Fabian Monzon – the most confident and reliable defender in my club. Heavy transfer money paid for itself.
5. Milovan Rakic – sometimes he scores wonderful one touch goals from any position on a pitch.

PS This is my last weekend with Football Manager 2009. I will start investigating FM 2010 demo on the next Saturday!

To the guys who commented above, that sounds like sour grapes to me because you feel frustrated that Vitaly can do without cheats what you do by saving and reloading the game. Relax, this is just a game. It is quite normal that there are guys who play better than you. It is nothing to be ashamed of.
that was a long post! monzon is quality, but why is lewandowski so poor? 2 the idiots who know only to cheat themselves, if u r actually a long time reader of the blog, u shud know that zivkovic was signed 2 or 3 yrs ago, but vitaliy my question is this: u didnt play zivkovic much, how did u sell him 4 30mill? ps the league looks bad now, so try win all the other cups insted, and plz post a link 2 the demo wen it comes out, it is notoriosly hard 2 get in Israel :)

regarding Branislav Zivkovic I can say that he was sold for that price because he is a real wonderkid. Just look at his attribute values when I had signed him. And I can ensure you that he is much better now.
The only problem was that Zivkovic can show excellent performance only on AMR position having concurency from more skillful and experienced players - Darwin Suarez and Blaise O'Brien.
You will understand the price of $30.5M looking into his current attributes on this screenshot

Because he was unhappy being a subsitution player. He requested a transfer actually. I didn't want to have unhappy player with poor morale - that could influence the morale of whole team
