What I can say! While I was writing the next post about wonderkids in my game, SI Games has announced Football Manager 2010: http://www.footballmanager.com/index.php?p=article&newsid=3395
The most important – here we have the release date of Football Manager 2010 – 30th of October.
Moreover, Miles Jacobson and his team are going to surprise us with the following features in the next version of FM:
Tactics Creator. This new feature will allow to create tactics in more easy and understandable way. It might be an important change.
Touchline shouts. At last a manager will be able to shout something during match. But, sure, there is no guarantee that it will have perceptible influence on players.
Advanced player roles. There will be possibility to set up a role for you player as “Ball winning midfielder” or “Deep lying midfielder”, for instance.
Match feedback. More detailed feedback from match waits for us. New Match Analysis tool promises viewing where a player made his shots, passes, tackles and other actions on a pitch. Moreover, this analysis will be available in live mode during match.
New user interface. Normally new FM version brings new UI. FM 2010 is not an exception. SI Games promise somewhat simplified interface including 2 standard themes: light and dark.
New Data Editor. I haven’t used Data Editor for ages. So this feature is not so interesting for me. But those who like to make changes to players or leagues will be amazed by opportunity of addition of new leagues.
Managed News Centre. We can sign up for news we need and unsubscribe from unnecessary news ! I was dreaming about this feature playing previous 5 FM versions!
3D engine enhancements. The most awaited feature of FM 2009 will become better due to:
- new 3D pitch animations
- new stadiums
- crowds
- realistic pitch degradation
- better lighting
Now we can wait for some Football Manager 2010 screenshots that will be laid out by SI Games soon!

Great stuff cant wait for the new game!! Hopefully it will be good if not better then the 2009 version! Cant wait to see what new wonderkids this game will offer!!
These features sound good, hopefully all they need now is better traing systems and facepacks for players other than that it looks good, Cant wait for more wonderkids xx
Yeah I have to say I havent been this excited about an upcoming FM for ages. For me, the best thing by far is the new tactical instructions, the tactical side of the game is my favourite part and I have been wanting these instruction options for years and now they are finally coming.

ive been wanting the touchline shout 4 ages CANT WAIT!!! also im a man city fan and theyll hav all there top players like tevez & adebayor CITY 2 WIN THE LEAGUE!

the 1 thing that annoys me the most is when a club set price 4 a player and u bid that price the club then raises the price. say if i bid 15m 4 a player and it gets negotiated to 20m i offer 14m and future 6m they then ask for 25m its so ANNOYING! i hope fm 2010 stops this

as far as I understood Miles Jacobson, FM2010 system requirements will be the same as in FM 2009

u have got to manage either Burnley, Everton or Southport of the conference North. ;)

Vitaliy, I reckon you should manage Southampton for FM 2010. The 10 point deduction in League One should be tough and trying to get them in to the EPL with them. It would definetly be worth trying it!

i can´t wait for the new version of FM... i'm really happy with the option to create new competitions, finnaly i can play in mercedes league with estudiantes (mercedes is my home town here, in argentina) and see the club where i'm playin face to face with the greats clubs of my country... i can imagine boca vs. estudiantes (mercedes) in La Bombonera
the screen shots look awesome, and being ghanain I hope they have some more teams and players from ghana, not asking for playble league just a few players from GH!!!

hey guys i was wandering if i could manage a club and a national team at the same time. cause while managing a club i appliead for the national team and they offerd me the job , i accepted but nothing happend. a weak later they offer me the job again, i accept but still nothing happens.
please help :s
got same problem as the post above, i continue to get questions to take over a national team an i accept but nothing happens....
