Best Form and Thrilling Encounter with Chelsea

Hello, my dear readers! Happy

Today I would like to continue my Hull story. And I have some joyful news for you! Just look at the table below to understand me:

Hull is on the 4th position in Premier League!

You see The Tigers being located in the table higher than Newcastle, Aston Villa, Man City, Liverpool and Tottenham (though the latter club has one more match to play). At last we are on the way to one of European tournaments! Cool

Matches in Premier League and FA Cup

Hull got to very good series of matches actually. And it’s not just luck or some occasional brilliant individual efforts of that or another Hull player. The team has managed to advance to the best team work level I have ever seen from my guys. So I am really happy about it and feel that we can reach even Champions League this season.

Matches of Hull in Premier League, FM 2009

We have quite amusing match statistics without draws: 14 matches, 10 victories, 4 losses. 4 losses happened in away matches with Blackburn, Tottenham, Middlesbrough and Manchester United. Losses against The Spurs and The Red Devils are understandable. Though it’s pretty frustrating to get out of FA Cup so early. But regarding Middlesbrough and Blackburn I can say that they are always unpleasant for my guys at the their home stadiums.

But lets talk about wins! Happy The most glorious one is against Liverpool. It was described separately in one of the previous posts. I would also like to single out 1:0 victory over Manchester City. It was very hard game and Man City had an advantage during few match periods. But fortunately Ochoa and defence showed themselves reliable.

Chelsea – Hull 3:4

The most emotional victory happened in the match with Chelsea. Essien scored goal on 10 minutes and I thought: “Oh… Again, we will loose against grand-club in away match”. Then their best forward Alexis Sanchez made the second. And I thought again: “It’s the end of this game”. Nevertheless all the time of the first half my guys showed a good performance having the same amount of shots on and off target.

And in less than 15 game minutes The Tigers scored important and prettiest goals by efforts of Ramirez, Suarez and Rakic. Then Bounanotte beat technically Terry and Carvalho making the fourth goal!

It was the most hard and the most wonderful victory in the history of Hull!

Player ratings Chelsea - Hull, FM 2009

I have tried to take a video of this game but video card of my laptop is not so powerful and the resulting video is very buggy, impeded and discontinuous. Sigh May be if I buy a new laptop this autumn I will be able to make video recording from my matches…

Player statistics

Hull players in Football Manager 2009

Best players of the last matches are: Ramirez, Rakic and Shakhov.

Ramirez is an absolute team leader in this season. Milovan Rakic is in impressive form scoring almost every match after uncertain season start. And Eugene Shakhov became a real gem DMC who tackles the ball, passes it accurately, scores goals from long distances and headers during corners.

The other player are in good form as well. And at the moment I don’t even see any need in transfers of better players. It seems like we can win trophies with this squad!

    hello vitaliy,

are u always considering any of assistant manager thought before begin a match?? for example your assistant told u if some of your player feels overconfident before match, what the best thought we should tell them in team talk before match, to prevent them become complacent during match??

    Well done Vitaly

Your squad has proven that they can work as a team and don't just rely on Buonanotte and Ramires. You are doing excellent and I hope that you get a Champions League place this season. What an achievement that would be

    Good Luck

    Well done vitaliy!

I'm currently in 2013 as derby...just got a 2-0 home win against chelsea.

This has signalled the progress that derby's made. I've been gettin results against the big teams and am strong mid table.

Well done with Hull...the only player we have in common is Ochoa.
(good signing btw) Best of luck for champions league!

How much did you originally sign Ramires for?

    Hey man,

Great work, I like the way you take lower teams and build them into something extremely competitive. Being the same old top 4 or the team you support often becomes boring.

Get Frazier Campbell if you can, he is great for hull on FM09

Wow, the match against Chelsea was indeed good

But a few weeks ago I played with Roraima, a brazilian club, the first leg of the final of the Copa Libertadores against Boca, at the Bombonera

Well, at 60 minutes, Boca was beating my Roraima by 6-2... yes, I thought everything (The match, the cup, and all the efforts done to achieve this) was lost, but something happened after Thiaguinho scored the third goal for my team. The young striker Dentinho appeared from nothing and scored a hat-trick for a 6-6...

In the second leg, Roraima beat Boca easily, 6-3

Oh, and good luck with Hull!
