Promising finish of the season

Those who follow my Hull story should recall the problem series of matches that I had before. I decided  to make some changes in the main squad. Diego Buonanotte was moved from MC to AML position (it was position of Marquinhos heretofore). Nacer Barazite became a new stable central midfielder instead Thumbs-up. There was also a slight change in my tactical approach: I arrived at a conclusion that it’s better to use my tactics in away matches as well, but with turned off Forward Runs of flank defenders and deeper Defensive Line. These changes brought me to pretty successful row of games:

Last Hull matches in season #4

Final Premier League table

Final Premier League table, FM 2009

You see that The Tigres didn’t reach the season expectations of Euro League position. But we were fighting for it till the end! Only 3 points divide Hull from Liverpool. At least we overcame Chelsea this season and, of course, it’s my best Premier League result in this game with Hull.

By the way, you may see from the table above that Tottenham and Aston Villa became almost grand-clubs like Arsenal or Man Utd (and even somewhat better that Liverpool and Chelsea!). Surely, it will be very tough competition for places in European tournaments between these 6 teams, Manchester City and my Hull next year! Smile

Players of Hull

Traditional statistics of Hull players:

Stats of Hull players, season #4, FM 2009

Several nominations personally from me:

Most Valued Player – Diego Bounanotte

Leading defender – Olexandr Chyzhov

Leading midfielder – Diego Bounanotte

Leading forward – Milovan Rakic

Surprise-player – Nacer Barazite

Best young player - Milovan Rakic

Best assister  – Diego Bounanotte

Best goal scorer - Milovan Rakic

Milovan Rakic

This undoubtedly talented Serbian wonderkid was bought for $29M from Russian Krylya Sovetov. He was the best scorer of Russian Premier League at that moment. His adaptation process in the team was delayed. Rakic had only 4 goals scored before the last 9 matches and then he showed superb effectiveness scoring 6 goals more:

Milovan Rakic became top scorer of Hull

After this brilliant finish he got English Players Young Player of the Year award!!! Hot

Chelsea wants me Smile

Finally Chelsea board sacked Luis Felipe Scolari and made the following proposition to me:

I didn’t think much over this generous suggestions and … rejected! Open-mouthed

The Tigres are on the way to the triumph, I believe in it sincerely!

How many leagues do u use by the way?

  4. T3HB3N Says:

Good finish, Vitaliy. And it's great to see you doing see you bringing Hull further up the Premier League table year by year - as well as Chelsea's failed attempts at greatness. :)

  13. Bojan Says:

    Hi there.

I have few questions for you guys.

I'm leeds, 3rd season got promoted to premiership, and i'm looking for a good ML. He shouldn't be older than 25 years and has to be fast. I was looking at Buonanotte, but my scout says he's prone to injuries. Is that true? Can you recomend me a good ML?

    Tnx,
    Bojan

  14. Carloco Says:

Hey Boja, I'm Leeds, sixth season, for ML I used Balotelli or Sergio Mota when i got to premiership and I still have them. You can try Tsevomir Todorov (who can play anywhere in midfield and I use as MR and sometimes ML when squad is injured), Alex Teixeira (who I use as forwards but has been there as well). Or try Diego Calderon, who is my left back but is a natural ML. Cheers, hope it works for you

  15. Carloco Says:

I'm in sixth season and Chelsea and Liverpool are quite bad as well.

    Liverpool positions since 2008/2009

5-4-6-4-8-5(26 fixtures played in last one)

Chelsea positions since 2008/2009 (this one is more radical)

4-3-3-7-10-10 (same, 26 fixtures played), the problem is they have a very old squad and keep bringing old players, or players around 26, 27 that don't play

    Finally, standings:

    08/09:ManU,Arsenal,Tottenham, Chelsea
    Eurocup:Liverpool, Portsmouth
Gone to Championship:West Ham, Middlesbrough, Sunderland
    League Cup:Chelsea won, Liverpool second
    Fa Cup:Arsenal won, Newcastle second
Leeds: Won Promotion to Championship, 4th place
Club World Cup: Man Utd won Pachuca

    09/10:ManU,Arsenal,Chelsea, Liverpool
    Eurocup:Aston Villa, Tottenham
    Gone to Championship:Stoke, Cardiff, Wolves
League Cup:Man City won, Aston Villa second
    Fa Cup:Arsenal won, Everton second
    Leeds: 9th place in Championship
Eurocup: Liverpool lost final to Fiorentina in Germany
Champions League: Chelsea lost to Real Madrid in Spain

    10/11:Arsenal, ManU, Chelsea, Tottenham
    Eurocup:Everton, Liverpool
    Gone to Championship:Bolton, Reading, Middlesbrough
League Cup:Man City won, Man Utds Second
Fa Cup:Hull (ha) won to Cardiff that was in second division
Leeds: Promoted to Premier, 5th place in Championship.
Champions League: Man utd won Chelsea in England

    11/12:Arsenal, ManU, Man City, Liverpool
    Eurocup:Everton, Aston Villa
Gone to Championship:Ipswich, Portsmouth, Sheff Wed
League Cup: Man utd won, Man city second
Fa Cup: Arsenal won to Watford
    Leeds: 8th in Premier
Club World Cup: Man Utd beat River Plate

    12/13:ManU, Everton, Arsenal, Man City
    Eurocup:Aston Villa, Tottenham
    Gone to Championship:Fulham, Middlesbrough, Bolton
League Cup:Man utd won, Aston Villa second
Fa Cup: Chelsea (won to Ipswich that is in second division)
    Leeds: 7th in Premier

    SO FAR
13/14:Arsenal, Leeds, Man City, Man Utd
    Eurocup:Everton, Sunderland
Going to Championship:Portsmouth, Reading, Sheff Wed
League Cup:Final Leed vs Blackburn (THIS COULD BE MY FIRST TITLE!)
    Fa Cup:----
    Leeds: 2th place

So, the strongest teams in the Premiership are down to two: Arsenal and Man Utd, Arsenal is the best though (in 3 seasons i have never won).

  16. Ian Gardner Says:

Inspired by your first Hull game I started one too.

Just managed my first comfortable premier league season:

    14/15 - 6th
13/14 - 17th (offered Chelsea job but stayed at Hull)
    12/13 - 17th
    11/12 - 15th (league cup runners up)
    10/11 - 17th
    09/10 - 3rd (Championship playoff winners)
    08/09 - 18th

Main tactic has been buying Man City squad players and South Americans - let me know if you'd like any particular info.

  17. Vitaliy Mokosiy Says:

    Anonymous,
I have around 15 leagues in my game

  18. Vitaliy Mokosiy Says:

    Jer,
very good question! Yes, I have some problem with Bounanotte and O'Brien. Suddenly my both team leaders started to dislike one another...

  19. Vitaliy Mokosiy Says:

    Bojan,
I have no problems with Bounanotte and injuries. By the way, you can also buy one of these young talented players for ML position. Moreover, you can find other prospective MLs in the comments of that post!

  20. Anonymous Says:

Just offer the one with the problem a new contract, then the problem is gone

  21. Vitaliy Mokosiy Says:

Ok, I'll try. But I should make offers to both. Because they both dislike one another :)
