If you are seeking Football Manager 2010 graphics then I advise you to take a look at FM2010 facepacks, FM2010 kits and FM2010 logos. They all can be easily downloaded!

Usually backgrounds in Football Manager 2009 are not so interesting and needed as facepacks. But anyway it’s always good to have them as for me. Personally I like to have a background of stadium of my club when I select the squad, for instance. Like this one for Hull:
This background screen is from a good pack of such screens for all teams of English Premier League, Championship, League 1 and League 2. These English backgrounds are enough for me because I prefer managing English clubs (like in my current FM09 story with Hull).
If you want to have the same backgrounds perform the following simple actions:
1. Download file using this link: Football Manager 2009 English Backgrounds
2. Unpack the RAR file (you can use WinRar or 7-Zip, for example).
3. Copy its unpacked content to folder "My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\graphics\backgrounds" (if “graphics\backgrounds” folder is absent - create it!)
4. Set FM 2009 Preferences:
- Use Skin Cache = Off
- Always Reload Skin on Confirm = On

Is those backgrounds just for playing in 3D mode? Or it is and for 2D mode?
It's not about pitches, it's about backgrounds.
You can see these pictures on any non-match engine screen as backgrounds.

i am sorry but i downloaded it unpacked it with winrar then got the folder called eng i then made a new folder called backgrounds in sportsinterative/footballmanager2009 folder and put the eng in and it didint work so then i took out the folder and jus put in the picture of wot team i needed i am qpr in the prem now so i am tring to use qpr 1 and it still didint work can u plz tell me how to do it thank u and i didi change the skin catche and always reload skin
You should unpack rar file to the folder "My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\graphics" - not "My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009" as you do

I am currently playing sunderland, and the path to the sunderland background is \My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\graphics\backgrounds\eng\premiership, placed properly as far as I can see.
However, the background is still not showing correctly. Have I done something wrong?
FYI I am able to use the facepacks without problem. I just wish there were a Denmark facepack so that I couls see what Gravensen and Sionko look like!

i have done all of the background stuff and i have recently downloaded the skin, iTunes09 left, so when i activated the skin, i had an arsenal background come up and i would like a West Ham one, so how do i change it?

it could happen because of your skin.
Try if there backgrounds appear if you set standard skin.

PALGOLAK & Billy, There is 1 x more check box in Preferences that needs to be selected which is 'Show Background Pictures' in the Display settings. Should work then...

I have fm 2009 skin, blackgrounds are blocked by a white transparency, how can I make it disapear?
hey my name is simon i am amazed by all this lol i was the manager of Crystal Palace then got sacked i then started being the manager off rotherham who got relegated because of their minus 17point deduction i then won the Blue Square Premier the following season and just survived the relegation battle in league 2 its hard to buy decent players when your board room staff dont give you any money!!!!! well thanks m8 for all the information and help for the backgrounds could you post the league tables of all the other leagues season by season please?????
hi vitaliy ive just got the background pictures but they are abit too light cloured i cant really see them that goood is there any way i can make them darker and also through your bad 1st season at hull didnt you get the sack at any time lol
