Hull. Squad and tactics revolution in the club.

My first season with Hull was really awful, especially its first half. As a result, I got the relegation to the Coca-Cola Championship. It’s obvious that I selected ‘Win promotion to the Premier League’ target for the upcoming season. If I don’t promote I will leave the club, I promise.

Sold players

It was really pity when all Hull leaders requested to be transfer listed after relegation. I lost my following best players: Bernard Mendy, Geovanni, Michael Turner, Ricard Fernandes, Daniel Cousin. It had been disappointing moment, but from the other hand the money for these valuable players gave possibility to be very active and effective during summer transfer window:

Best Hull players sold out

30 millions! Plus 8 millions given by board!  So many players were sold… But I was going to buy even more. Because it was decided that it’s time for revolution in Hull City: total change of the squad and tactics as well!

Bought players

The first squad of my team was renewed on 80%. I bought the following players:

Bought player by Hull for Coca-Cola Championship

There are some good prospective ones like Phi Cohen, Anton Bull, Phil Moses, Blaise O’Brien. Other players were transferred to Hull to be used in the first and second squads. Of course, I can describe all of them one by one – but it would be quite tedious. Therefore only 5 best transfers are described below.

Transfer #5. Claude Makelele

Legendary Claud Makelele

I won’t afraid this word – legend. Yes, Makelele is certainly legendary French defensive midfielder who had given his best years to Chelsea, Real Madrid and National team of France. He’s very old (36 years) but can be still useful. Especially if you look at his perfect mental attributes!

Transfer #4. Paul Codrea

Paul Codrea from Romania

Romanian central midfielder. I took him because of his high passing, team work and skills in set pieces. Codrea is small and pretty technical half-back who is needed for making good passes and set pieces. His weak side is physical attributes. He’s not of Gattuso type Wink

Transfer #3. Maxim Pashaev

Attributes of Maxim Pashaev

Young and prospective defender and midfielder from Ukraine. Versatile one! With great Jumping and high Strength – that will be enough for winning headers! He has good work rate what allows to train him to a real star.

The only very sad thing about him is that the real footballer Maxim Pashaev died few days ago after he had got to the car accident. Crying

I want to add his photo on my blog to memorize him…

Maxim Pashaev...

Transfer #2. Abdou Rasack Traore

Abdou Rasack Traore - young star

Abdou Rasack Traore has the highest prospect of all new Hull players. He is quick dribbler, good team player. High work rate promises high growth during trainings (nevertheless I have not the best coaches).

Transfer #1. Diego Buonanotte

Small and technical Diego Buonanotte

I spent $23M on Diego Buonanotte. Crazy amount of transfer money for Coca-Cola Championship club! But I did that because Buonanotte is the new Hull leader. Determined, flamboyant, fast… The only con is that he is very small (161 cm of height, 59 kg of weight) and totally useless "on the second floor” loosing almost all headers.

So it’s like Maradona for Hull. Well, we will see how he adapts in the team and whether he is able to become a leader!

And, of course, we are among the favourites of the season. In the end I want to add that I decided to use and adapt my old Southampton tactics. Go Tigers! Smile
