HullFootball Manager 2009 Features in Screenshots and Videos
Hello, my dear readers!! Finally I'm back from the honeymoon and very impatient about latest FM 2009 news! Actually one of the first things I have just done coming in to my apartments - checking out Internet for news about Football Manager 2009. Therefore I would like to make some kind of review of the new FM 2009 features announced already.

Well, it was very interesting to watch this video. Seems like they many of awaited and requested here FM features are implemented...
New features in FM 2009 Screenshots
1. 3D Match Engine 
This feature is the one that was the most often asked by people! Interesting that in this mode any match can be watched from multiple camera angles. There is also forwarding and rewinding that makes one to re-watch any part of the match quickly. It can be done with the special bar at the bottom of the screen near 'Advanced Controls' button.
On the screenshot you can see also 3 widgets: Team Ratings, Radar and Formation. These widgets are not static - they can be customized as you want! I noticed in the video above that they added already about 15 widgets to the game! Pay attention to the left top Team Ratings widget: ratings of players became noninteger and therefore more exact (6.4 instead of 6, 6.6 instead of 7)!
2D Match engine will still remain what is certainly good because my HP laptop has weak graphic card for 3D mode
. And they promise also better logic in match engine what is always good.
2. Assistant Manager Feedback 
Assistant Manager will become more useful in the game - he will be able to do pre-match and in-match feedbacks on how your team is performing, motivation level of your players! He will share also his minds your and opposition's tactics in a match.
3. Board Confidence 
Board confidence screens will be more detailed. In addition 2 new confidence screens will appear : Squad Harmony and Club Stature.
4. Preferred Moves Training 
There will be possibility for a player to gain new preferred moves during training. For example, a manager can train central defenders to not dive into tackles, or wingers to do stepovers before crossing the ball.. This will be done from Player Interaction screen. How much time will such training take? It's unknown for now 
5. Press Conferences 
We requested more interaction with media - we will get it. Manager can attend pre-match and post-match press conferences with local and national journalists. Press conference is also hold after appointment of a manager as on this screen. Answers on press conference questions should be selected carefully because they could come back to haunt you in the media at a later date.
Another small feature presented on this screen is Female Manager. Well, it's just a support of female gender in the game 
that reflects only in the media.
6. England Trial Day 
Young talents can be scouted from England Trial Day. Actually I don't know more about this feature...
7. Transfer Rumours
The new screen here about transfer rumours. You will be able to view the latest news on what players are being speculated on, and who’s said to be interested in securing their services (the names of media sources are in the brackets on the screen).
Other announced Football Manager 2009 features
Widescreen Support. That is the one I dreamt of. Just because I play Football Manager on the wide screen laptop .
Improved Media. The game will contain more news stories, more detail and greater media interaction than ever before.
Realistic Finances. Financial modelling was reworked. It should be more realistic in FM 09 to follow transfers, staff wages, budgets, ticket prices, season tickets, competition bonuses and club sponsorships.
Updated Competitions. Database update of players, teams, clubs, leagues information. They promise 5,000 playable clubs from over 50 countries, and around 350,000 players and staff from around the world.
Transfer System. Completely new and re-written transfer system code, providing an even more realistic simulation of real-life football transfers.
As for me there are a lot of new Football Manager 2009 features that will make us happy. So we should just wait till the game is out. Sports Interactive announced that it will be released before Christmas. But on Game.Co.Uk where FM 09 can be pre-ordered release date is set as 14/11/2008.

I seek through Internet for finding this information about FM 2009: SI Games sites, FM Forums, Portals...
Wonderkids and talented youngsters were found by myself during game research. Just using my scouts, making different search filters in Transfers screen, visiting U21 national teams...

thanks, honeymoon was really perfect. Sea, tennis, different interesting and beautiful places... And now I'm trying to get back to my job phychologically - it's not so easy after such wonderful rest :)

pays attention everybody i have to make an interesting suggestion about new feature which is mostly important in FM09 as a part of the joy in the game which is MANAGERIALS ABILITIES OF THE CPU, AFTER 3-4 SEASONS ALL THE BIG CLUBS IN EUROPE ARE SO WEAK THAT U CAN BEAT THEM WITH A CLUB FROM 4 LEAGUES BELOW!!!

It looks great but I think it will be slower compared to previous version and I always found FM difficult to play. Always frustating me.
It looks really good, i like the 3D stuff, and I like the transfer rumours, i like that it does stupid things, its more realistic. Cant wait for it
excellent!! especially the 3D.. cant wait for FM09..but i think is more intreting if u can display EPL jersey teams n photos like spanish league n italian league =)

Do you know if any new leauges will be added in FM 2009?
As far as I know there are no new leagues included this year, due to a lack of available researchers
Dont know if anyone can disagree, but i was hoping to read something about more realistic youth players prospects. You can play the game for 10 seasons, have state of the art youth facilities and still never get anyone near good enough to make it, when realistically big clubs like Celtic will have a minimum 3 home grown players in any one team and others who have gone on to Championship level..

does anyone of you know if it will be possible to load an existing FM 2008 saved file in FM 2009? I mean will they provide backward compatibility for saved files from FM 2008. I have spent a lot of time with FM 2007 and had to restart it all again in FM 2008, now I am not looking forward to re-start from scratch with FM 2009. Would love to be able to continue with my current season but with new improved features!!!

now it was claimed officially that it would not be impossible to use FM2008 saves in FM2009.
Hi. I Just bought my copy of FM 2009 but I can't get my activation key to work. Anybody else encounter this problem?

SEGA are aware that there have been some problems with the activation of Football Manager 2009 today. This has been due to a combination of issues relating to the printing of keycodes and the huge demand for the game
A solution is in place and is starting to clear the problem, we are confident that the issue will be solved today. The chances of successful authentication are increasing hourly. At this point consumers still experiencing difficulties are advised to leave a 10 minute gap between authentication attempts.
SEGA apologises for the disappointment caused by the problems with activating the game and asks for Football Manager fans to remain patient.
SI need to sort all this sh** out its starting to anoy me, and i bet im not the only one

how do i find the 2009 data editor?
every time i try click on it 2 play this comes up

Data editor should be in the following subfolder of your Football Manager 2009 folder:
tools\data editor\data editor.exe
My fm 09 game when i go to play it.It just comes up a black screen and says loading can any1 help me

Im in real desperate need of help Vitali or anyone. Me and my cousin have been trying like mad to create a game online and have absolute zero success. Is there anyone who knows how to do this and if so can they post a step by step guide. Help would be much appreciated to a fellow FM09 nut

i download FM 2009 from torrent with crack and patch 9.1.0 and when i want to play game it says that my trial period has expired and to enter my product key.. where to find product key.. please help meee!!!

ive had the game for a while(well same day it came out)
Had to take first 2 back as they simply wouldnt load.
im now in 2010 season and all has been working fine, but now today when i played a game in 3d mode the screen goes black and nothing shows. It has worked in the past fine on this computer. 2d classic works fine
Never posted before but im hoping someone can help get the enjoyment back.
my first thought was that the grapfics card was gone so i adjusted it to low settings in preferences but no help

well it's being considered around me and my friends ;)
thought i would leave my own tip, in the 2nd season normally bojan leaves barca, so if u shortlist him b4 then u will find out when he leaves, u normally hav to giv him bout 29k wages or more, which any side in the prem can pay usually. And after another 2 years if u give him the right trainin he ends up the best on the game :D

Im having a little problem with manager 2009, despite taking a portuguese team from second division to european champions, and getting a high club stature everytime i accept a new job in a national team my stature in the club goes to poor! why is this??
