HullSouthampton. Superb performance during winter rush fixtures of Premier League
Happy to inform you that my Southampton story stepped on a way to glory! 
There are November, December and part January matches of the football club I manage:
The red rectangle bounds so called winter rush fixtures. It's common known hard time for English clubs. When all other European championships are stopped for Christmas and New Year holidays, English football clubs play games very intensively: they have a match for each second or third day. Players in Football Manager 2008 are usually getting tired and have a condition between 86-94 percents.
During this hard period of English football year I managed to gain a lot of success with The Saints. Look at the results in the red rectangle. 4 wins and only 1 loss! By the way, the victories over Manchester City and Manchester United (as well as over Arsenal) were described more wider in the previous post. One of the most pleasant wins is the one in the match against Wigan - 5:0! And it's pleasant to me not only because of score and performance actually, but also because of that Wigan is the club which I had started to manage during this game and was sacked earlier.
Among unfortunate matches I would single out the 1:4 home loss to Everton in the quater final of League Cup. It was very pity to get out of English League Cup, especially in such poor styled failure provided by mistakes of Southampton defence 
.
In any case our Premier League position and amount of gained points in the aforesaid matches inspires me very much! Look at the table below:
We are almost in UEFA Cup zone now and in 6 points to 4th position (Champions League)!!! 
Some stats of Southampton players:
Wijnaldum is the real king of the first half of season! 
He is very creative, open-minded and technical player who made a whole bunch of assists. He has large leaded in the common Premier League Assists rating:
Many clubs want to bye this wonderkid and enquire me about that. I set the price of Wijnaldum - $40M. Meanwhile his real price is just $10M now.
But I got a problem with him during the last month. Georginio Wijnaldum wants to leave the club for a bigger one...
Don't want to sell him...

Great work! I seriously hope you get your UEFA spot. They really deserve it. Anyway, why don't you search for other wonderkids similar to Wijnaldum who are in their early stages. or maybe even better. 40mill is worth a lot of money...

hi,if Wijnaldum wants new challenge you should try and give him new contract ;) and i can see that de ridder isnt as good as wijnaldum so you should maybe buy new right winger-henri saivet from bordeaux is really wonderkid,one that would help you a lot,or just buy James Milner ,really quality a hard working winger with excelent shots

Great update again mate. You have shown good loyalty to Southampton so you were due a change in fortunes. I disagree with the previous comments about selling Wijnaldum. I would keep him.

it is late to search for other wonderkids because they are all are bought by big or well-known clubs now. Remember, I'm finishing the 5th season at the moment.
So now I search among talented regens for my youth team :)

Concerning Wijnaldum... He doesn't want to accept any new contract offer :(
Seems like he will be sold during summer. But who knows...
Vitaliy,how long is Wijnaldum contract ? if it´s not expiring in the near future it should be easy to keep him,and what is your opinion on Saivet? are you going to buy him?

if you still have Miralem Pjanic he could be good replacement for wijnaldum ;)
Saivet plays in Reading in my game now and costs some $15M. He is one of the best young attacking players in Premier League at the moment. But it seems that he is too expensive for me.

may be Miralem Pjanic will be able to replace Wijnaldum if he develops himself during trainings a bit more. Now he is not so quick as Wijnaldum and doesn't impress me when I set him on AMR position. He performs better as AMC.

i want to ask you,when you first said your board that you are confident on reaching top half and you finished 13. ,why they didn´t sack you?

P.S. Wijnaldum can be as good as Cristiano Ronaldo, so u might just want to bare that in mind mate ;)

they were just slightly disappointed about that. And the board was happy by us reaching the quaterfinal in League Cup and the 5th round of FA Cup.
There was also important point that they had 2 year plan of avoiding relegation - so this was totally accomplished! Therefore the board was satisfied with me :)
Bad luck losing in the League Cup but theres always next year.
Wijnaldum says that the team deserves more credit, can you do a whole team talk? Not after the match but youve obviously tried keeping him happy by saying positive comments. Try signing a contract with him, if it say he dont want to offer him more wages than hes getting than hell stay, trust me.
