According to this interesting thread on one of the SIGames forums the first information about Football Manager 2009 will be released in the end of August. I think we can believe Ter and Chris Ritchie who work at Sports Interactive.
Well, now we are waiting more and more impatiently for the first news about our new favourite game! And I'm really sure that the FM 2009 news will be good :)
agreed and also looking forward to it, though it seems like end of august is very near to not have released a release date.

I wouldn't believe play.com. SI Games didn't anounce the day of release at all. And many different game sites set up different release dates (just because it's necessary to be set up).
So we just need to wait until the first official news from SI
The sooner the better, I'm already on the verge of a divorce with FM 2008, can't wait for FM 2009, Happy Days!
i REALLY hope that they learn this time! and test the game GOOD before they release it so we dont have to buy an unfinished game and then download some patch that needs another patch to fix the first one! if they don't I will not buy the game at all! after bying all of the FM games (05-08) i'm sick and tired of having an unfinished game!

sports interactive are releasing information about their new game, FM09, on September 3rd 2008
this information will be released via sigames' official youtube, amongst other sources

I think in the new fm first they have to sort it out so there is no bugs thats the first thing.
2nd the manager profile sucks its shit they should make it so you can do more stuff like your wages you cant do nothing you should be able to put the money towards tranfers or when you get money from winning thing you should be able to buy a club of your own and you say how much money you get from buying hotdogs to season tickets...you should have more contact options with players like how you talk in a bored meeting but so you are talking to the player its self...
you should be able to build your ground make the 3d mode better have crowds make them sing the songs that the fans sing and one of the biggest things fm needs is the fans involed more like they are in real life.
sort the tactics out more get your coaches more in the game..
