HullBest Players for Lower Leagues in Football Manager 2008
I was asked by one of you, my dear readers, to make exploration about cheap player who can be bought to lower league teams. For instance, Coca-Cola Championship and League 1 players. It had taken several days to do that. And I want to represent you its results below:
Fabien Barthez
36 years. Famous eccentric French goalkeeper. Available from free transfer! Must be signed if you do not have good keeper at the start. But be aware of from other clubs being concurrent to sign this legendary goalkeeper.
Marius Niculae
26 yeas. Inverness CT. $425K. Brilliant Romanian striker. I praised him in my blog many times. Marius is the certain leader of my Southampton in Premier League!
Benoit Leroy
24 years. Chamois Niortas. $120K. AMLC/FC. Rather versatile player who can perform as attacking midfielder and forward. I use him also in my Southampton. And Leroy is one of the best and reliable players in the team.
Stelvio
18 years. Braga. Very young and cheap guy from Portugal. He is a defensive midfielder (DMC). Stelvio costs only $16K! Must be bought!
Florian Heller
25 years. Aue. WB/MR. German right flank player. Can perform as either midfielder or defender very well for your, for example, Coca-Cola Championship team. He can be bought easily because he is from German Second Division.

This cannot be based on the latest patch, right? Dalla Valle doesn't play for Jippo.
Patch or no patch, Agouda can not get a work permit. I tried several times.

what are the years in your league season that you start to search it?

all these player were found at the start of the game. I had chosen 'Large' database and around 25 leagues. Try to do the same!

(ASIA league usually low standard and many players from europe doesn't want to join it)

Try to sign Kevin Gall (AM/FRC) on a free transfer he is brilliant. I signed him for my York team and he scored 50+ goals in his first season in League 2.

Concerning goalkeeper for ASIA League - I do not know. Never played in ASIA leagues. So I cannot give you advice in this case.
hy...my name is dulghy...i play now with Dinamo Bucharest in Romania....i bought Bogdan stancu and can i say he is a very good young striker.what about ninis he doesn't to play for me....i think the best example is marius niculae...in the past i play with fiorentina and he was a good signing for me...and he scored 9 goals in a half of champ....he is very good...

im enjoying this blog as it is helping me progress through my seasons but i cannot seem to find the majority of these guys you have listed. i have 8.0.2 and have all the leagues selected. any advice?
justin, I have the following FM settings:
- Patch 8.0.2
- 'Large' database.
- Italian, English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Portugese leagues including 2nd leagues
worked like a charm, thank u sir.
I reccomend seth johnson (stats start low due to injury, but soon shoot back up) and Winston Parks for league 1 and below. They dominate lower leagues immensely
For championship Alex Fernandes/z is brilliant

vitaliy i was wondering if u had an answer for this question...i have gotten Liviu Ganea through transfer and was recently informed by my first team coach that he may be unhappy at the club and is having a hard time settling in england. he suggest i try to sign another romanian player to help him with the transition. when i went to the romanian squad i attempt to get a few of their players on loan but most of them are in grey and when i click on the name i cannot make an offer for them. do you know the reason for this?
anyway to prevent the keepers from rushing out to the top of the box everytime? because it seems everytime my keeper does he leaves the computer with a wide open net

grey players are not real players that cannot be bought. They are added to teams when it is not enough of real players.
To prevent keeper rushing out of the box often set Ultra Defensive mentality, Forwards Runs - Rarely, Creative Freedom - Little.
thanks for the suggestions, Wolves currently sitting at the top through 20 games...started out undefeat the first 16 but since have lost twice(burnley and hull) and have noticed my team starting to slump, mainly in the second half.
Try to sign Hans Vonk from Ajax CT. I bought him for 120.000 €. Also try to sign Mbulelo Mabizela also 120.000 €.
Vonk has continental reputation but he is my first choice for Leicester City! Also Raymond Kalla free transfer, Alexander Tunchev from CSKA Sofia for 675.000 €. Mohammed Kallon free transfer. I loaned Frazier Campbell from Manchester United, salary 0 € per week, until end of a season - he becomes every time wonderkid! He is something like Henry in Barcelona!!! A must have. Try to sign also David Thompson. Pablo Piatti - Argentinian with also Italian nationality from Estudiantes LP. I signed him for 90.000 € - becomes wonderkid after a season! He is new Sergio Aguero! Patrick Lomski from Finland, Waldo Ponce - he is strong DC free transfer in first season.

for Brazilian team... Hard to say. I have never played in Brazilian leagues. May be some guys like Lulinho, Kerlon, Danilinho? Though they are not cheap.
i play way to much, Mika AAritalo as mentioned earlier is essential, even if just to sell at xmas! teemu turunen another fin is 1st team for champ or lower prem team. ignacio gonzalez from danubio on free 01-01-08,quality amc. as mentioned as well eric bicfalvi is awesome. kieran lee from man u, if trans listed can get for 100k, versatile 7+ average at fullback.. edson dlc from brazil. ari nyman excellent squad filler for mc not dc as in profile only 100k from thun.roman vashiyk (something like that) beilorussian international, gets wrk permit and scores for champ or lower prem. a lot of the players on these posts will increase in value or have top club interest (such as jack hobbs and lomski) but wont get a good average rating, 6's all the time!! billy sharp from sheff utd is hard to get but a goal machine in prem. if you are a lower team lg1 or lg2 get as many prem freed yng players as can on short contracts and get rid if duds but you will be able to build a succesful team with potential to climb up leages, be ruthless, if mc was star in lg1 but ropey in champ, get rid, hes probly reached max ability!. can spot high ability players from anywhere in world as their profile will have something odd, for example aarilto plays for an obscure finnish team but profile states juventus as fave team? most prem players dont have this detail. well, i'll stop there was getting carried away, theres loads of players out there and things to look out for, and dont forget to look for gems in your own squad?!!
Jamican players like Onandi lowe and fabian taylor can be signed for any team icluding blue square south teams and are cheap and quality buys.
Archie campbell from rangers is a great buy. He is young n mint.
mauro zarate can be brought by champ teams for around 2m, eventhough valued 11.5

Sam Vokes Is Another One I Have Come Across...Usually Availiable Because Bournemouth Arent That Good. Felipe...Hes A 19 Yr Old GK From Brazil....If U Somehow Get The Money To Afford Him Then 3.5 Millions Is Usually Enough To Get Him! With These Players Plus A Couple More That I Signed I Ended Up With A 4th Place Finish In Lge 1 And Promotion Through The Playoffs To The Championship!

Joe Mattock - DL/WBL - probably best left back in Championship, he becomes wonderkid in 2nd season, he is Leicester youngster
Raymond Kalla, DC- got him on free,
Dickson Choto DRC - Legia, signed him for 925.000 €, he rejected HSV, Dortmund, Everton and joined my team, requires high wages, best DC for Championship! A must have!
Mohammed Kallon AMRC/FC - Free- great midfielder and also can play right winger or striker, a must have for championship, requires around 15.000 € weekly
Pablo Piatti - AMC - Estudientes - sigend him for 95.000 €, good for substitution, in 2nd season becomes winderkid, i sold him to Chelsea for 15.000.000 €!
Maciej Iwansky AMC - Zaglebie Lubin, he is my first choice for midfielder, signed him for around 850.000 € he rejected Siena and Cagliari, he has 18 influence and can be vice-captain.
Quinton Fortune MLC/WBL - well known left winger from South Africa, extremly good, must have for Championship
Now watch this:
Javad Kazemian AMR/ST - Al-Sha'ab signed him for 1.200.000 lower can't be accepted! - Best winger in Championship and he can join most of Premiership clubs. Work permit is not problem because he is first choince in Iranian team!- Sign this player as soon as possible.
Fraizer Campbell ST- loaned him from Manchester United, a Thierry Henry for Championship! He scores always around 30 goals per season , but Billy Sharp from Sheff Utd. scores little bit more :P - Campbell in 2nd season always becomes wonderkid.
Roberto Holsen ST - Striker from Peru, good for Championship, lot of goals and assists.
Gabrijel Torje AMR/ST - Poli 1921 - signed him for 400.000 € good in first season for substitution, in 2nd season is first choice but i sold him to Newcastle for 8.000.000 € :)
Cristian Sarghi DRC - Otelul - Good defender, can play either right back or DC, buy him as soon as possible.
Richard Stearman DRC - standard in Leicester City but only as back up.
Sell everybody in Leicester City, i sold Clemence for 1.100.000 right away, also Kishishev, DJ Campbell, Ian Hume, Rab Douglas, Bruno Ngoty, etc... only left Mattock, Stearman, Fulop, and Kaebi.
Buy this players 100 % title is yours even club wants safe mid table position. Ask for money for top half finish, because of wage budget. This should be little guide for Leicester City, i hope this is usefull.
One more thing - staff:
Kristof Dowhan - GK coach best in game ! - Legia i signed him for Leicester City
Eamon Malvey - Manchester Utd youth coach
Tony Whelan - Manchester Utd. youth coach - signed him as first team coach.
Patrick Dempsey - Machester Utd. youth coach also for coach.
Probably someone already mentioned it, but I always buy 'Dor Malul'. He's from some Israelian club. Only €40K, after two seasons worth a fortune. Very good player!
Arthur Sorin is Immense! I bought him for Norwich (Woop Woop!) got to the Prem with him being 3rd best player in my team (I have better =]) and then going on to mark players like C.Ronaldo and keeping them out of the game! And only about 40K! Plays for me at RB but can play LB as well.
But then Dmitry Sychev is amazing scorched player of the month 4 times in one season, and then put in 37 in the championship and 24 in the prem! Legendary striker! a few million
Now the best! his name is Danny and is a attacking mid, he got 20 in the championship and prem average per season is 23, his age is about 24 and cost around 4-6 million, got my player of the year, got the championship player of the year and young player of the month in the prem 7 times in 4 seasons, not bad for a Norwich player!

do you know (i pressume you do, if your seasoned players who have followed from the champ man series) that the brothers who came up with the idea/data network behind our game are infact everton fans, and there has always been a soft spot for everton in the game. has it been coded out in the later versions?
question, has anybody ever been wolves and taken to prem, the board state ground improvement, the capacity drops for 6 months but when completed the ground stays at 28k ? bizare

im playing as cradiff in my 3rd season now. Last season i sign a great player called victor moses from crystal palace and ONLY cost 100k. with the handful of game he played try to being he in slowly. he plays AM/FC best in FC he scored 10 goals. i belive he will become a wonderkid around 2012-2013 with the right training

Jordan Rhodes is a fantastic future prospect for League 1 sides! Plays for ipswich reserves, bid 60k non-negotiable and just under £1k a week wages. Only 18, predicted to become a leading championship player. Hasnt scored too many for me at Crewe but its early doors
hi im mike. im in2012/2013 season with burnley after taking over and saving them from relegation from the championship over a season ago. i had very little money and made some incredible free signings inclduing patrick cregg and lee miller. i have completely revamped my squad with most players seen as good players in the premier league by my coaches, who have also all been improved. however im struggling to break into the top 10 and its realy frustrating as my players have high ratings during the game but just cannot score enough goals. can anyone suggest how to improve my tactics to score more or maybe a couple of players? thanks

Well some advice for non-league teams (BSP BSN BSS)Use a scout programmer and search for 60-75 ability mark. Find the free players, ones that are 30+ will usually join your team. They'll only last like 3 years, but you can get league 2/1 standard players for non league teams. (Y)
alexandru avram, i think plays for dinamo bucharest, he is a quality target man for league 2 up, has 19 strength 13 finishing 12 composure 12 header, he usually comes to most teams, got him for chester in january!
Try and sign Jason Steele from Middlesbourgh he turns into a class keeper in a few years and can usually get him on a free transfer at the end of your first season.
Hi lads, i have been managing Wrexham and have managed to get them from the Blue Square up to League1. I am just starting that season but already it looks tough. My best players so far have been Koki Mizuno (signed from Celtic) and Veliche Shumulikoski (from Ipswich)
Palestine have some great players and are easy to sign for lower league clubs...Mohamed Samara and Robert Kettlun are excellent!!! Any tips on signings to help me get out of this league post please!
For FM2009 im Peterborough United in League one. Great players are:
Brian Murphy. Superb goalkeeper, but after the patch hes hard to get as swansea bid for him.
Joe Heath. 60k or so from Nott Forest. Young left back
Taner Taktak. Just search that. Young turkish lad. Bid 10k, hes amazin and 18. CM
Jan Moravek, what a player. bout 180k to get him, but after one season everyone will want him. Only 18. CM
Iriome. Transfer listed at tenerife for 50k. Only 21, one of the best players in the league when you get him. MR.

Here's a thought...take a minnow, from brazil third div maybe (i play AA Anapolina) and make some a new users and spend all of the richest clubs' in the worlds transfer money on players from the minnow club. then, with these millions, turn the third div team into a global superpower. maybe. we'll see.
